    Zen Line Drawing
    February 10, 17, & 24 through BVSD Lifelong Learning.
Zentangle® inspired, Zen Line Drawing opens techniques of design and drawing. Using pen and paper to create lines that become 3-D, move, and inspire is meditative and exciting all at the same time. You do not have to know how to draw or have any skills in art. It looks difficult, but when designs are deconstructed and then recreated, it all becomes amazingly simple. The only thing needed to enjoy this art form is a desire to do so. It’s a great way to distress, focus, and meditate all at the same time you are creating a unique piece of art. In this class, you will learn how to create cards, tags, framed art, journal covers, and more. Put your mark on a one-of-a-kind piece of art with Zen Line Drawing.

    To be Determined
Make a journal for encouragement, goals, moments, a trip, dreams, or whatever is on your mind. By folding the binding and inserting pages it becomes a unique journal of your own. Part one is making the journal. Part two is making the pages, background, collage, finding words for the pages, and/or creating found poetry or words to help you stay on track, document your life or travels, or words of encouragement for your internal journey. This class will give you techniques for this journal as well as for other journals you may want to make. Paint, stencils, photos/magazine pictures, stamps, texture and more will all be a part of your journal. Freeing and exciting, creating for fun, and no experience necessary to create a journal you will love!

    Art Journaling
    To Be Determined
Mixed media is artwork created using a mixture of mediums like paint, watercolor, colored pencils, stencils, college, drawing, stamps, found objects, photos, collage, and so forth to create work in textures, contrasts, and layers. In this class, you will learn techniques to use all of these and more. We will start with a blank journal and create your record of days, dreams, thoughts, observations or whatever your mind might lead you to. No rules, no judgments…. just fun!! Through layering and other techniques your Art Journal will turn in to a work of art telling your life story. You do not have to be an “artist” or have any prior experience with mixed media to create work that is unique and beautiful.
